I have a well rounded education with an initial background in engineering before
I took a more creative direction. I qualified with a Ba in Media and Design before
progressing to a post-grad in the then emerging field of multimedia.
On graduating, I was employed by IBM as a freelancer producing small-scale
eCommerce websites. I then moved on to the Journal Newspaper
in London as an assistant designer where I gained a great deal of experience in
Quark, Photoshop and Illustrator.
My next career move
encapsulated and broadened my experience to date. I took control of promotion
and design work at one of the largest UK Universities, for their Students' Union.
There, I had overall responsibility for the University magazine which
I transformed from a photocopied sheet to the winner of the National Student Media Awards.

I oversee promotional and design work, marketing communications and direct mail to
prospective students. I initiated a web presence which has steadily developed into
a central hub of communication which uses SMS and a content
management system to devolve production.
My increased activity and knowledge in Marketing led to promotion to Communications Manager.
I consolidated my experience in marketing by undertaking a Masters Degree in eCommerce
and Marketing in my spare time.
I have now begun an evening class in newspaper and magazine journalism at Highbury College. Articles will be posted here.
